Dear friends and customers, we have just launched a couple of Pinterest boards. There are two boards at present that reflect out interest and passions here at Byron Designworks. They are in a preliminary stage, but we will grow them.
Improvised and Eco Designs. It is a collection of design ideas for furniture, homewares and interior design that adopt or re-use materials in an improvisational way, or that use very eco-friendly and sustainable materials and processes.
The other is:
Inspiration for the Home. This one is a collection of images that will inspire you to beautify your home. There is much ugliness in the world, make your home a haven of beauty and a place of respite.

A week or so ago we went to the Life InStyle fair in Melbourne. To quote the organisers, the event is: "a high-end showcase of the most exclusive brands in homewares and lifestyle products; First InStyle, a curated design space showcasing new and emerging design professionals..." The event was held in one of Melbourne's, if not Australia's, most beautiful buildings, the World Heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton Gardens. It was originally completed in 1880. On May 1st, 1901 the initial Commonwealth Parliament was held there. It is a fabulous building inside and out and it was a pleasure to be there and getting to view some interesting new designs and products...some of which may well find their way into our store.
BDW is a unique, independent retail space for high quality and beautiful things for your home. We want to turn you on to a Tropical Modern aesthetic.
